Thank you so much for your clues - extremely helpful and I have those four now. A couple of them I had thought of but not been able to explain the clue satisfactorily. e.g. No.6 - I had considered that word for 'small persons' and not followed the clue through. All clear now.

Also with 27. I had got as far as the first 3 letters but was stuck on shop being a shop and I had come across the answer but not seeing where the shop was. Does it come under the fish or other category?

Spell the compiler's name slightly differently not with the number and look it up.

27. The word begins with g and is a type of weed !

Your clues were excellent thank you and I have them now except for 86 - can't find an anagram !

I did have the answer Polly but because of the fish part, I was just querying which category it would go in but as the whole answer is the plant, it obviously goes in 'other'.

86. Not much of an anagram and, funnily enough, end part is same as beginning of 27.

I have gone for the fact that the compiler is a type of winged creature and I have gone for a southern variety !

Not following your answer Polly. Mine begins with a G - maybe I was being too simplistic with it.

The compiler's name on my sheet without the number has three letters!. So still perplexed.
