I can help with some of them, others I am still working on.

34. It's a man's hairstyle and a fish. If you come up with an answer and have Chambers, look it up for the other meanings.

37. It's a fish - how the setter describes himself + a word for depressing

54. Again referring to the setter/compiler. Who is he?

Hi !!!
I can help with one or two but I am really struggling now !!!

21. Anagramme 2nd, 3rd & 1st letter of 4th words - continue with rest of 4th word and add a 4 letter facial feature ! ( I'm really sorry I am such rubbish at giving clues ! )

35. Find a 7 letter shell beginning with a and knock the a off - it's a fish !!

Sorry, can't help with others - am having trouble with the other clues that have been kindly given !
I know about Roger Whittaker but don't understand about losing second line ! Is it a fish ? Still working on 64 - think Christmas has addled my brain !!

Hi Polly Dee,

I am really confused as to which letters make up the anagram.
Are you taking those letters from each of the first four words - you say the rest of the 4th word but that's only 3 letters. Are you talking about 'feature'?

Roger was well-known for whistling so lose Second Line....to give a fish.

polly dee - I'm even more confused - I've got a 7 letter shell which when you remove the first letter is a fish but my answer begins with S - a very common food item -but you're saying it begins with A.

Sorry lady bee - I said I was rubbish!

21. Anagram the whole of the 2nd & 3rd words plus the 1 st letter of the 4th - ok so far ? Now use the u & r and add a facial feature. Hopefully you should get it now !!!

35. The 7 letter shell begins with 'a' - remove the 'a' and you will be left with a fish beginning with 'b'

I'm sure you're not as confused as I am !!

I still don't get how to lose the second line but I have seen a 'whistle ' fish .! And what on earth is the political assoc. ?

Got it! How on earth did you work it out in the first place?

Still working on the 'A' shell - I came up with Scallop and callop is a fish. They can't say it's wrong, can they?

Remove the S L, to get your fish.

Union!!

Thank you so much lady bee, why are the answers so easy when you know them !!
I worked back to front on 21 and got the 'feature' first !
Now, back to the shell - the shell begins with A and when you get rid of the A you will be left with a fish beginning with B -if you want me to tell you to save your power , let me know.

I still have loads I am working on - I'm finding this quiz extremely challenging !!!
