Hello, Pigale,
The Tour jury said Froome will stay in yellow.
That is the latest I have on Twitter.
I am not a fan of Froome but I think that is a sensible decision.

Hi Rusty,

I think it is pretty fair - the only other option would have been to allocate 2 yellow jerseys (if only for one day); The decision is not everyone's cup of tea, only 50% applauded Chris on the Podium - there are some who say that he was not the only one losing time (which is quite true)
On the other hand, there does exist the 'rule of KM3' which could apply there.

I personally am quite happy ! Why don't you like Froome? I know you like P. Sagan who seems to be a very pleasant person, but C. Froome is a very good almost all-round rider (and has a very good team!)

Hello, Pigale,
I do not think KM3 applies on mountain stages, only on flat ones. That was the problem today.
I just wonder if Adam Yates would have accepted the yellow, given the circumstances.
Could you imagine that ever happening to Hinault or Anquetil?
There would have been murders!
Yes, I like Sagan a lot!
Froome has ridden for Kenya at international level.
He now claims to be British, yet has never lived here.
Home is Monaco.
I like Geraint Thomas and Ian Stannard at Team Sky, but there are other teams I prefer.
We are all different!

Good evening, Rusty!
What did I say about being exhausted?
I am collapsed on the sofa!
I don't think I shall be late to bed tonight!
We had a lovely time though with granddaughter and her mum!
Whatever has been happening in Le Tour?
It sounds chaotic at best - disastrous at worst!
Why was Froome running up the mountain without a bike?
And what is a KM3?

Again just watched the highlights (?). Absolutely bloody ridiculous, but it was bound to happen sooner or later with all these idiots near the summits (and what have they been doing while waiting for the riders to arrive?). Not entirely a fair decision, as Froome, Porte and Mollema would have gained time rathe than lost it, but it was the best that the commisaires could do, I suppose.

Good evening, Elle!
Did you get your skipping rope out?
I find it hard work these days!
Yes, a day with your family is very hard to beat.
And are not sofas a great invention!
KM3 is a fairly complicated rule which only applies on the flat.
It covers "events" in the last three kilometres of a flat stage..
Like the Flamme Rouge falling on Adam Yates, for instance.
Today was a mountain stage, so it does not apply.
Froome's bike was broken by a motor bike hitting it from the rear, he says.
I did not see that on TV.
He was lucky the motor bike did not hit him.
Would have been much worse!
Not disastrous, Elle, but very chaotic, and "apparently" no rules to cover it. I have not heard an explanation from the commissaires, and no explanation as to why the motor bike stopped, (possibly hit a spectator, but I do not know that) allowing Porte etc to run into it.
We may hear more, later, but it was a very unsatisfactory end to the stage.
The golf was good, too, but rain and wind forecast for tomorrow.
Was only one bird in the nest when I looked earlier!

Chrise, I think 'mankinis' were forbidden on British beaches.

Did you see any amongst the crowd on the Tour ?

Rusty, in an interview given at 18.45, Adam Yates stated
'Nobody would have wanted to get the yellow jersey in this way; I am happy with the Commissaires' decision'

Just as you thought.

Hello, Pigale,
Thanks for letting me know!
Everyone seems happy with the exception of Bauke Mollema.
The commissaires had to do something and they used common sense!
Only two birds in the nest tonight, Pigale.
Surprising!
