Good Morning Everyone,

Hello Elle and Rosalind,

I was very lucky earlier on when I looked in on the ospreys just as Laddie brought in a salmon - Apart from eating some of the fish himself, I also witnessed him feeding Lassie who did not move from her usual position; and once the adults had shared the meal, Lassie got up and fed the chicks; It was quite moving to watch the male gently feeding his mate !

The shells are still there Rosalind!

Hi Pigale

That was lucky! I haven't seen the second chick yet
I'm amazed they haven't chucked out the eggshells- wonder if they will remove the fecal pellets? No, I'm not going to look for them!

Just "Ros" is fine!

Hello, Pigale and Ros!
It's a lovely day here at the moment although we are threatened with rain later on.
Just about to go out before that happens.......
Ros, if you go onto the 'blog' there is video footage there which will perhaps cover any earlier moments that you missed!
Worth a check......

A lovely photo on the Osprey blog site, showing the two chicks with their mouths wide open awaiting their "dinner"!

Hello Elle,

Sorry about delay in answering ! They are great photos indeed but have you seen the photos showing Laddie chasing off some crows intruders? it looks quite impressive.

I think the best time to see feeding seems to be around 11/11.30 am your time and then around 4.30pm or there about again your time. I seem to be lucky when looking around then. Hope you get to see it!

When is No 3 going to hatch?

Hello, Pigale!
Yes, I have seen the pictures of Laddie fighting off the crows - a most impressive defence.
There is finally a crack in the third egg.......you can see it live right now .......

Hello ~Elle,

I thought I could see a crack when I first looked this morning - so Chick No 3 should appear in a few hours; Did you see the feeding of the chicks? Laddie brought the meal a bit earlier today !

When I looked at my nest yesterday morning, I was surprised to see it empty - All the chicks had flown off, which is good for them but I will not be able to follow their progress now.

Elle, Chick No 3 was trying to get out of its shell a couple of minutes ago - Lassie has settled down again now so can't see anymore.

How do the chicks breathe with an adult sitting on them?
Would it not help no 3 if she moved off him/her?

Hasanyone strayed to the Falls of Clyde webcam? If so, did they see any point to it? Does something happen from time to time?
