Hello, Elle!
Lovely afternoon here!
Matt Hayman won Paris-Roubaix.
He has just been presented with a cobblestone on the podium.
No impressive scenery, plenty of mines etc.
Great race! My man Cancellara crashed on the cobbles but came in a couple of minutes down.
I do not know the answer to your fiendish clue!
Will have a look at BGT before golf now!

Hello everyone

Hi Elle and Rusty,

Hope all is well;
Can't remember Matt Hayman's team? Nor his nationality !

I did not watch the race because I was too busy.......... sunbathing !
Temps in the 20C this afternoon with a slight South-Easterly breeze - almost Summer, so could not miss it!

I know Paris Roubaix is a classic, but quite frankly I find it rather boring to watch ! Hope you are not disgusted with me Rusty !

Hi, Rusty!
Still lovely here, too - we did a great walk, but it was very muddy underfoot in places after the recent heavy rain.
I was glad of my Nubucks!
I didn't know that the trophy for the Paris - Roubaix was a 'cobblestone'!
Very appropriate!
Where I was brought up in Bolton, the roads of our side streets were cobblestoned!
Not many folk had cars then as few could afford to possess a car (we didn't have one), but those that did, said that the cobbles played havoc with the car's suspension!
(and we rode our bikes on the pavements!)
Now the clue........County town in Scotland, small (7)
Wicklow = county (def) (in Ireland!)
Wick - town in Scotland
low - small
I though it was rather good?
I hope you are enjoying BGT? Any worthwhile acts to report?

Hello, Pigale!
And I thought that we were having nice weather........
Beautiful here, but still chilly....our maximum has apparently been 11C!
We did try sitting in the sun (weak) for a little while whilst out on our walk, but soon had to move on as it was too cold to linger!
I am envious!

Elle, there will be a price to pay for this lovely afternoon : thunderstorms due tomorrow - my pet hate !
No idea where exactly so hope it will just miss us, but I doubt it somehow.

Hello, Pigale!
It is my very favourite race!
Hayman is Australian and rides for Orica-GreenEDGE.
He outsprinted Tom Boonen.
We have a lovely day here, too, but not very warm.
Hello, Elle!
Watched BGT.
I am delighted it is back!
The little girl sang well, but is not to my taste.
I much preferred an orchestra and choir, and a sword swallower, and a lady dancing with a very cute wee dog!
Lucy and Trip they were called.
There was a very good impressionist too, but I do not watch much TV and have no idea who he is doing, unfortunately!
Watching golf now but the main contenders have not started yet.

Hey, Rusty!
I am glad that you enjoyed BGT!
I have never seen a sword swallower! although obviously I have heard of such.
Is it a genuine trick or just an illusion?
I am not a fan of the early stages of BGT.......I much prefer it when the wheat has been separated from the chaff , so to speak!
I like watching the more genuine talent!
I shall probably watch the show as from next week though, now that "The Voice" has finished.
I gathered from a remark made by Will.i.am that "The Voice" will no longer be recorded in future by the BBC, but is going over to ITV.
I don't know why.
How is your golf going?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, the trophy is a large cobblestone.
A motorbike caused a big pile up, again.
The sword swallower looked real to me.
I like the rubbish acts as well!
There were three middle aged belly dancers on. Dreadful!
I prefer non-singing acts.
There are plenty other shows for solo singers.
I have recorded another show.
Britain has More Talent. Will have a look tomorrow.
"Full tilt" comes from jousting.
Golf going well. Long way to go, though.

Hi, Rusty!
I don't think I could watch cycling on a regular basis as you do - I would always be dreading that a catastrophe might occur!
I found the Grand National worrying enough! I was so glad to see the horse and rider get up again after the various falls!
Nerve-racking!
I haven't heard of "Britain has More Talent"? I didn't see it in my TV guide?
Is it an extension of BGT?
I have just finished talking to my cousin - all well with the Northern contingent of the family!
I have a busy week coming up!
Birthday celebrations spread over several days!
I shall have to do a lot of vigorous walking to combat all the dining out!

Hello, Elle!
No, you best stay away from bike racing.
There are always crashes.
It's part of the sport.
Hayman, who won today, broke his arm in a crash five weeks ago and was back racing last week. These lads are tough.
ITV has several channels, Elle. I have four of them.
The other show will be on one of them.
I have not seen it before, but shall give it a go.
Lassie was on her nest a few minutes ago but no sign of an egg yet!

Hi, Rusty!
Was anyone badly injured in the pile- up caused by the motorbike? I hope not?
I am surprised that the motorcyclists are allowed to come so close to the cyclists?
Is there not a required distance they should stay away?
I found that "Britain's Got More Talent" was shown on ITV2.
I don't think though , from my reading of the accompanying blurb, that it will be quite what you are expecting?
It sounds as though it is a follow up of the BGT show, but simply getting all the 'behind- the- scenes' backstage gossip.
I don't think it is further talent? I could be wrong!
Yes, I saw Lassie earlier - a lot more moss for her to arrange, but no egg!
We have had a fine evening and so far tomorrow is supposedly going to be another sunny day!
