Hello, Elle!
Ah, I see.
I don't think mine is a smart TV.
I've had it for quite a few years.
It's a Samsung.
The Sky system tells me to connect it to Wi-Fi, but I don't.
I prefer everything to be simple, and I'm not very sure what benefit there would be by hooking Sky up to Wi-Fi, anyway.
I usually know when something interesting is coming on and record it, and that seems OK.
I discovered the iPlayer on my Chromebook by accident, but it seems to work fine.
I think any time I was in Glasgow it seemed to be raining!
The east coast where I live is much drier and sunnier.

A Very Good morning to you, Rusty!
It is a lovely day here.....blue sky and sunshine., with a temperature listed as 6C, but apparently feeling like 3.
It is certainly a bit nippy!
I have a few household tasks to do...and a bit of local shopping...
Plus a letter to post....I think there is a collection midday, but am not sure?
How about you?
Any plans?

Good morning, Elle!
Beautiful morning here, too, and no frost!
I have not been out yet.
We have a post collection today, but not sure when it is.
I have no plans today, so far.
I have done my puzzle, too.

Hi, Rusty!
I am finally home.......and hopefully will not need to set foot outside the door again today!
I posted the bill....completely forgot to check when the collection was!.....and then went to Sainsbury's for my TV guide, and some "bits and bobs".
These amassed into quite a hoard, with which I can now sock up the freezer.
I had forgotten how tiring shopping can be without the use of a car!
My son is coming over at some point this weekend ......but I am unsure whether it will be today or tomorrow.
But come what may...coffee is next on my agenda!

Hello, Elle!
Why did you not get a home delivery from Sainsbury?
Save you carrying it home.
You'll be pleased to get a visit from your son!
I was out for a walk earlier.
Just watched the first run of the slalom.
Mikaela almost crashed but recovered, although losing time.
Petra Vlhova leads, from Mikaela, and Wendy Holdener.
Me for a coffee too, and a slice of pizza!

Hi, Rusty!
I went "in person" to Sainsbury's, because I wanted to choose meat, and also fresh vegetables, and fruit, for myself!
Besides which , I can only have a delivery midweek, and must spend a minimum of £40.... according to my "package deal".
And I wanted my shopping today!
I bought my TV guide, whilst there, and see that not only do I have "The Voice: UK" back, but also "Call the Midwife".
That is good...it is a while since I had much to look forward to watching on the TV!
Now......will Mikaela find it easy/ possible to make up her lost time caused by the near crash?

Hello, Elle!
Right, I understand about the shopping!
Mikaela is over a second behind Petra and that is an awful lot in the slalom.
I doubt if she can do it, if Petra has a clean run.
But if anyone can do it, Wonder Woman can!
I'll let you know how the second run goes.
Just watched a video clip of the Bristol Rovers fans singing "Goodnight, Irene".
It's their club song. Very enjoyable!

Hi, Rusty!
I am not well versed as to timings in the slalom....a second sounds very short to me!
But obviously that is not so in the context of skiing...... it is very crucial timing!
Anyway...fingers crossed for Mikaela!
I have "Good Night, Irene " as an earworm now.....
I like Eric Clapton's version.

Hello, Elle!
Mikaela flew down the mountain!
She had a super run and took the lead.
Then Petra raced down even quicker!
A win for Petra today and well deserved, and Mikaela was first to congratulate her.
Katharina Liensberger was third.
And there was a beautiful red sunset as well!
I liked Eric Clapton's version, too.
I noticed Albert Lee playing guitar for him, too.
When the Bristol Rovers fans sing it, it sounds like "Goodnoight Oirene!
Great to hear!

Good evening, Rusty!
Well done to all three skiers!
You have obviously had a great, enjoyable afternoon's viewing.
My Canadian (ex Brit) old school friend in Calgary tells me that she has January booked up for snowshoeing, and cross country skiing!
She says (I quote) "haven’t done the latter in years; could be looking for an accident!"
Oh dear!
And she is going on the first downhill ski trip the last week in this month.
The mountains there are buried in snow, with lots of road closures and avalanches....
She is welcome to it!
Liver, onions, and bacon with mashed potato for dinner!
It will be ready soon.
