Hi, Rusty!
I am just back from doing a bit of shopping.......mainly from the chemist.
The pharmacist on duty has confirmed that my husband must not drive whilst on this very powerful antibiotic.
However, providing of course that my husband feels well enough to go, I think my daughter will come and collect us on Christmas morning.
We shall see how things progress.......
I hadn't realise that your antibiotic wasn't working.....I hope the "new" one does the trick.
What happened about your crown? did you go back to the dentist?
That is nice that your grandson is coming to see you!

Good evening, Elle!
I have often found that the pharmacists are very helpful with advice.
Let's hope your husband is up to travelling!
No, I have not told the dentist about the crown.
It is fine the way it is, I think.
My grandson has just left.
He had been in ASDA and said it was "mobbed"!
Be worse tomorrow!

Good evening, Rusty!
Yes, pharmacists are definitely the "go to" people, when advice is needed about medication.
I am very pleased that our GP surgery has a pharmacist on the premises one and a half days a week now, to do the yearly "MOT"s!
He goes through the patients' current medications with them, discussing the pros and cons and possible changes etc
It is a great idea, and one that I had long hoped to see put into practice.
I'm glad you had a good time with your grandson.
This will be his first Christmas in his house, won't it?
And the same , of course, for your younger son and family!
I need to do some food shopping tomorrow........with all the upset over the last few days , our provisions are getting low, despite having the freezer!
I am dreading the Sainsbury's rush!

Hello, Elle!
I am with you regarding the pharmacists.
Very helpful folk!
I don't think "my" surgery does a pharmacy MOT.
Not that I am aware of, anyway.
Yes, my grandson's first Christmas in his house, with a Pine Cone tree, too!
I'd expect your Sainsbury store to be hectic!
I find it incredible the amount of stuff in the trolleys!
My ASDA opens at 5a.m. but I won't be there then!
Maybe 7.30 when I know the papers are in, and I have £30 to collect, too, as I had three numbers on the Lotto last Wednesday.
And that is a very rare occurrence!

Hi, Rusty!
Out of interest, I have checked on Sainsbury's opening times!
It seems that today the store opened at 6 am and closed at 10 pm.....but tomorrow it will only open from 6 am till 7 pm.
I have the dog to take out early in the morning.....
I do not know when will the best time to go to the supermarket.
My husband cannot drive at the moment, and, in any case, will be best staying at home, but luckily I have a shopping trolley.
I can pull that more easily than I can carry bags!
I dread the prospect though.
£30 is a nice little windfall!
What are you going to spend it on?
I do not do the Lottery... I did it a few times when it first came out, but never won anything!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, the stores are on Christmas hours now.
Best go early to your shop, Elle, I'd reckon!
Once you get going I am sure you and your trolley will be fine!
No thoughts on my little windfall!
I have done the Lotto since Day One.
Had several small wins, still waiting on the Million!
I noticed there is a "Who Wants to be a Millionaire Celebrity" show due on.
Clare Balding is appearing and I don't know the other two.

Here is my annual Christmas earworm.
I liked this by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Good morning, Elle!
A nice dry morning here!
Hope you are coping with your shopping!
I was at ASDA at 7.15 and it was fine.
Not busy, though I expect it to be busy now.
Had a look at Paddy P's odds for "to Snow on Christmas Day".
2-1 Dundee Airport, 5-1 London Heathrow Airport.
Doesn't say what counts as "snow", though!
Interestingly, they have Dina Asher-Smith favourite at 4-1, to win 2020 SPOTY.
Trotty is 9-1.
Puzzle completed earlier than usual, thanks to my early trip to shops!

Good morning, Rusty!
A nice, bright, sunny day here!
And all the dog walkers were in festive mood, wishing each other a Merry Christmas!
A pleasant outing!
How are you feeling today?
Are the different antibiotics beginning to kick in?
You are presumably a little better, at least, as you were out so early shopping?
I have given up on the idea of supermarket (mayhem) shopping today.....
I am only just back from the park...I was dependent on my "lift" as to timing.
By the time I get ready and go to the shops - I have to walk there - it will be late morning / lunchtime
We still have stuff in the fridge and freezer.... and will be out for Christmas lunch tomorrow.
We shall survive until Boxing Day, when Sainsbury's will open at 9 am.
A good idea , don't you think?
Procrastination is the name of the game!
Thank you for the clip of "O Holy Night"...that was sung beautifully.
And here is Bing singing it also.....

And another topical favourite of mine by Bing...…

Hello, Elle!
I am much the same.
Not going visiting, though.
Yes, I am sure you enough in fridge to cope.
I am the same, I did not get to butcher, so I think it will be a pizza for my dinner tomorrow.
Now, this is a mystery?
Surely the clip I posted was not "O Holy Night",
but "Carol of the Drum"?
I was going to ask you if you understood the ending, because I could not quite fathom it?
Thanks for Bing.
I always associate Bing with Christmas!

Hi, Rusty!
Well, that is a mystery, Rusty!
When I first clicked on the link, it went straight into "O Holy Night".........
Yet when I returned to it later to check, because you had said it should be "Carol of the Drum", that is exactly what I got!
BUT "O Holy Night" came on immediately afterwards!
Maybe somehow, the first time I played it, the recording "leapt" ?
Is that possible?
Yes, I enjoyed "Carol of the Drum" - or "The Little Drummer Boy", as it perhaps more widely known.
Yes, the end was a bit strange...why the couple ..and why the waving "goodbye"?
I looked for a Bing version of "The Little Drummer Boy", as you have made me all nostalgic!
But can only find this one of his singing with David Bowie.

Do you like it ?.......I am not sure......
