Hi, Rusty!
You have indeed got a busy schedule immediately ahead!
A very hectic time in the run up to Christmas - you will have a lovely time with the various members of your family.
I think our elder daughter is coming down to see us on Saturday.
I am not sure whether she will just come for the day, or stay overnight.
It will involve a lot of driving if she does it all in the one day, but she will be busy with Christmas on the doorstep, so I shall wait to see what she decides.
It will be lovely to see her!
And your younger son and family will have their first Christmas in their new home.
How is the dog doing now?

Hello, Elle!
It is wild here!
Wind and rain hammering down.
Yes, I seem to be busy this Christmas!
Hopefully your daughter can stay overnight.
You'd like that!
The dog is much more settled now.
I'll hear a bit more about him tomorrow when my son visits, or from L-B.
It was an upheaval for him and I hope he is content now.

Good morning, Rusty!
We had a very wet and stormy night here, too.
Today is still wet...but no wind, and very mild...12C
I am going (very belatedly) to decorate the tree, wrap presents and clean the house.
All that should keep me busy for a while!
I hope you and Miss L-B have an enjoyable time at the Pine Cone!

Good morning, Elle!
Wind has dropped here and the rain is almost off!
Going out soon with Miss L-B.
Not sure where, as the roads to Pine Cone may be flooded.
Will see, when she gets here, what she thinks!

Hi, Rusty!
How did it go?
Did you make it to the Pine Cone after all, or were you forced by floods to go elsewhere?
The rains must indeed have been heavy up your way!
I am plodding along nicely .....making progress.....but wrapping presents is not quite my forte!
Some folk make a wonderful decorative job of it.
Ah well, my efforts at least conceal the contents!
Back to it!

Hello, Elle!
We took a different route to the cafe.
It was going like a fair, there!
Quite a bit of surface around though.
I had a Stornoway black pudding roll!
I am sure you are doing a grand job with the presents!

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, good, you made it to the Pine Cone!
I would not have liked your black pudding roll.... although I do enjoy white pudding!
My friend - and ex work colleague - always used to bring white puddings back with her, when she went visiting her family in Dundalk.
Delicious!
Well, I have almost finished the present wrapping!
But the delivery bringing BB's and YB's presents has not yet arrived.
I am now going to have a coffee before I think about organising dinner.
Your son will be coming to see you quite soon.....it will seem strange to him, needing to drive over!

Hi elle
White puddings (and black) feature in some versions of the funny "John Blunt" folK song

Hello, Elle!
The black pudding is very tasty!
Hopefully, my son will be here.
Not heard from him today.

Hello, Chris
Thank you for the songs....
If ever there were an example of "closing the stable door after the horse has bolted...", that was surely it!
