Hello, Elle!
Yep, home now.
Was at the pub for half an hour.
It is still warm here, too.
I think you are in your element with BB!
I'll be the same at the end of the week when La Bamba is in charge of me!
Mr Putin gave it a good go, and it was for a charity, so well done, sir!
He was no Fats, but then nobody else was!
Fats was a very humble, shy, man, but a top-notch performer.

Hi, Rusty!
Oh that was nice.....did you go there to meet a friend?
Yes, BB and I get on very well....
(After all, it's not everyone that gives credence to my football skills......don't forget, according to BB, I can do a mean heel kick!)
I shall always view "Blueberry Hill" in a different light now.......
But I think Mr P had perhaps better stick with his day job!
I admire him, though, for his charity effort...he made a good stab at it.
BB is fast asleep....... and like me, he is an early riser.
I think the plan for tomorrow is for us all to have breakfast, and then take the dog out together, about 9.30 ish.
Maybe take a picnic lunch, but come home again before it becomes too hot out....
We shall see what develops.

Rusty, I didn't mind that you didn't rate the clue highly - and I see someone else has posted about it, finding it rather bewildering. I just liked the daftness of it really, quite welcome after the slightly dry, tough crosswords I'd worked through over the weekend!

Hello, Elle!
No, just on me ownsome!
Just to catch up with the craic.
I loved the way Mr Putin pronounced "blueberry"!
Yes, he was game, and it was for a good cause!
Your picnic sounds a good idea!
I have been on YouTube.
Found a great video of a concert.
It starred Kris Kristofferson, Lyle Lovett, and Emmylou.
In the audience were Bill and Hillary Clinton, George H Bush, and Johnny Cash.
Emmylou sang "Ring of Fire" especially for Johnny.
I never knew that Kris Kristofferson was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford Uni?
He wrote "Me and Bobby McGee", (Miss O's karaoke song!).

Hello, Malone!
I like a challenge, but I did not take to the clue.
I'm still pondering it!
Yes, I know you do the really tough ones.
You operate on a much higher level than me!
I have tried the Listener many years ago but I could never understand the preamble, so I just stuck to The Times!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I was taken with the way Mr. P pronounced "blueberry ", too.
He actually came over as quite charming!
The concert sounds good.....I know Kris Kristofferson.....and "Me and Bobby McGee" and "Help Me Make It Through The Night".
And, of course, Emmylou.
But I cannot place "Lyle Lovett"?
Who was he and what did he sing?
Is Miss O good at karaoke then?
(I cannot sing at all! leastways, not tunefully!)

Hello, Elle!
Yes, Mr Putin rocks!
Lyle Lovett is a Country and Western singer.
"Cowboy Man" and "If I Had a Boat" are two of his best known songs, but a lot of folk know him as being Julia Roberts' husband.
They divorced though.
Lyle has been in a few films, too.
Miss O is a very good turn at the karaoke!

I watched this with a big grin on my face.
Kris singing "Me and Bobby McGee".
Some great musicians playing and the big lad has a good voice, but I do not know him. Do you?

Hi, Rusty!
No, I don't know Lyle Lovett...no bells are ringing!
And I didn't know that he was married to Julia Roberts .
I thought her husband was Daniel Somebody-or-other?
I'm afraid that I don't recognise the tall guy who was briefly singing...but I'm not very good at remembering people.
Thank you, I very much enjoyed the video recording!
I must listen to "Help Me Make It Through The Night"......

Hello, Elle!
It was a few years ago they were married.
Think it lasted two or three years, just.
I don't know who she is married to now.
I liked the the big lad, he had a bit of humour about him, and he could sing!
I liked the video, too, it was good fun.

Anyway, here is the concert for Johnny Cash.
Lyle Lovett is on second.

Hello, Elle!
I have finished watching the concert.
It was very good.
Johnny Cash was very emotional at the end, and President Clinton had a tear in his eye, too.
And me!
