Good afternoon, Elle!
Yes, lots of new words for us!
Not had my phone call, so far.
So, I shall stay home, in case.
I'll be able to watch Enable run at York.
It is probably her last run in Britain.
Then she'll go for the Arc, and then retire.
I'm looking forward to seeing her!

Hi, Rusty!
A pity about the delay in receiving your phone call.......but every cloud has a silver lining......at least you get to watch the racing!
Good luck to "Enable"!
Well, the plumbers have finally finished.
They have done a good job.
The new shower cubicle looks great...and is much roomier than the other one.
Now we need to ask our builder/ decorator friends to come and decorate both the bathroom and the adjoining bedroom.
I guess there is no particular hurry......perhaps they can fit it in, when the winter weather comes.
I have now ordered five books from Amazon!

Hello, Elle!
Received my 'phone call!
Enable won, and Frankie Dettori was very emotional.
Never seen him like that before.
He just loves Enable!
I think that was her last race in England, and now she heads for the Arc in October, to try and make history, then retire.
She has won it twice and no horse has ever won three.
It will be a very tough race, but fingers crossed for her!
That's good news about your shower!
That's a lot of books to be ordering!

Hi, Rusty!
Speaking of phone calls...I have been talking for the past hour to my daughter, who always rings me on her way home from work.
I enjoy being able to talk to her every day!
We have been planning BB's sleepover......
I think he is coming over here on the Bank Holiday Monday, with his parents and brother.....and then he will stay with us Monday and Tuesday nights, thus having two whole days with us, before going to sleep at home on Wednesday.
That will be good!
But I don't think you have a Bank Holiday in Scotland on Monday, do you?

Hello, Elle!
Having BB to stay will be a treat for your husband and you!
I don't keep up with bank holidays, I'm afraid.
The schools are back, I know that!
I was hoping for a song from Francesca after Enable won, but no such luck!
My son will not visit tonight.
They are going out for their tea.
La Bamba has booked somewhere but I think it is a secret!
So, I'll have a browse on YouTube to see what I can unearth.

Good evening, Rusty!
I have checked my calendar, and, no, you don't have a Bank Holiday in Scotland on Monday.
I know your schools go back much earlier than do ours.....I remember Miss O breaking up very early.
My son-in-law goes back to teaching next Tuesday; BB starts school on September 2nd; and my two eldest grandsons, in the Midlands, go back on the 4th.
Amazon has informed me that all my books have been dispatched.....
I hope they come soon!
Have you found anything interesting on YouTube?

Good evening, Elle!
I never hear about bank holidays here.
Maybe we don't go in for them as much as you folks South of the border?
Amazon are good, your books will be delivered to you in no time!
I only watched some old bike races on YouTube.
I'll have another look later on.
Could there be another Sissel out there!

Hi, Rusty!
I get very tempted to buy more books, whenever I have money to spare in my Amazon account!
I always used to go to the local library, but some years ago, the biggish branch closed down, and a new (very small) library opened instead in a new location....this time on the village High Street.
The new library is very inadequately stocked..... not many books, the emphasis is on computers, and reserving books does not seem to work with any efficiency.
So I buy books from Boot Fairs, charity shops ......and Amazon!
If I go on at this rate, though, I shall need another clearout......
I wonder how the church roof fund is doing?
I hope you do find another Sissel!

Good morning, Elle!
Fine breezy day here!
I have not been at a library for many years.
With the advent of eBay and Amazon I have stopped using the library.
Think there will be many like me, and the charity shops benefit when I take books in.
I did not find another Sissel, but I found out lots about her home town, Bergen.
Looks to be in a very nice part of the world!

Good morning, Rusty!
A very warm sunny day here!
I had an enjoyable walk in the park......and then went straight to the Crematorium to take a plant.
After that, we went to the Builders and Decorators to ask them to call in sometime, to give us estimates for the two bathrooms...and also the bedroom adjoining the shower room.
We shall then decide what to do, depending on the cost.
I have a free day today from now on ........!
