Hello, Elle!
I saw Andy and Serena on the News earlier.
I watched a bit of the girls doubles, too.
I don't know their names though.
Yes, Sagan and his team rode well.
Don't think they will feature tomorrow!
The finish is at a ski station, high up!
Yes, I have finished my crossword.
I am guessing 12's Will was Shakespeare?

Hi, Rusty!
We shan't know what to do with ourselves next week, once the tennis and cycling are finished!
( Does the cycling finish this weekend , though?
Maybe it goes on longer? I do not know the time scale? )
Or maybe not....
I already have a dental appointment on Monday to have a wisdom tooth out...
And British Gas is coming on Tuesday to check the boiler.....
And I need to arrange for our granddaughter and youngest grandson to come over to visit......
Uhm…...not much "free" time left after all!
Yes, 12a: "labour of love"......... refers to Shakespeare's "Love's Labour's Lost".
Now, can you help me with the two that I cannot do, please?
18a: I have F?R?C?E?T
26a: S?E?T?
I have no ideas here......but I am positive that the letters are correct.

Hello, Elle!
It is a three week tour, a grand tour.
There is always something to do.
Good luck with your tooth coming out.
18, is "firecrest", unlimited s)ecre(t inside first.
26, I have "s lee ty" weather.
I thought "stormy" to begin with, but it would not fit".
OK?

Hi, Rusty!
I hadn't realised - or more probably had forgotten - that Le Tour lasted for three weeks!
So still a while yet then......
Am I likely to see a bear in the mountains if I look in tomorrow?
Thank you for the crossword parsings......
Yes, I see them now......
I would never have come up with "sty" for "squalid dwelling"!
I am not looking forward to having my tooth out......
It is the only wisdom tooth that I have ever had!
Two were impacted and so had to be extracted (with difficulty) many years ago....and the fourth tooth apparently never existed!

I had to have a wisdom tooth out last year. I went to a specialist (my dental practice didn't fancy it) and it took about 10 seconds, with no discomfort at all! Quite remarkable.

Oh dear, Chris!
Now you really do have me worried...….
My dentist told me to allow an hour for my appointment!

Hello, Elle!
Tomorrow the Tour is in the Vosges Mountains, and I don't think you'll see a bear there....maybe a goat, though.
The bears will be in the Pyrenees, later in the Tour.
"Sty" often features in crosswordland for "squalid dwelling" or similar.
I'm sure you must have come across it before!
I remember getting a wisdom tooth removed.
It was done at my local dental hospital.
A young girl trainee dentist attempted it.
And the poor lass did not have the strength in her wrist to do it.
She was at it for ages, and eventually the professor took over and got it out very quickly.
The next day my face was considerably swollen on one side with all the havoc the girl put me through.
But....everyone has to learn!
I'm sure you'll be just fine!

Good morning, Rusty!
Another sunny day......we are doing well.....
And this must surely be the driest Wimbledon ever!
I am looking forward to the Women's Semis this afternoon!
Goodness me, what a horror story about your wisdom tooth, Rusty!
"Did not have the strength in her wrist to do it....."!
Aaagh!! Help!
But seriously.....fortunately my dentist is excellent.... and I trust her!
I shall be fine!
Wrong mountains to see a bear? I shall wait....

The hour is probably to allow the anaesthetic to take full effect, elle, and also to wait a while after to be sure you're OK.

I wish we could have some rain (none for about 2 weeks now)- accuweather had two times yesterday when the chance was over 60%, but it was sunny then.

Shall be so glad when there is something other than tennis on BBC. Are not one channel and red buttons etc enough?
