Hi, Rusty!
The rain has ceased... and it is refreshingly cooler......feeling almost chilly after the mugginess of late.
I had forgotten that the girls go on holiday tomorrow!
You will miss them!
We have the school holidays coming up soon.
Our elder daughter rang yesterday to arrange a visit.
It will be great to see everyone!
I shall have to put on my thinking cap for "amusing things to do"!
I have finished the Everyman..... a couple of parses that I am not particularly happy about......although they are probably what is expected.
I might be being a bit pernickety!

Hello, Elle!
It is not cool here, anyway!
I think the girls will WhatsApp text to me from time to time, if they have a free moment.
That's what I suggested to them, but their holiday comes first.
I do not do Everyman, Elle, so I can not help you with your puzzle.
I have le Tour on at present, but I am going out for a dander for half an hour, and will be home to see the last couple of hours of racing.
De Marchi has just abandoned.
He crashed just now, and has a head injury, and has gone off in an ambulance.
Hope he is not too bad.
He rode very well in the breakaway yesterday.
Not too long until the tennis!
2.00 p.m. ?

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, enjoy your walk...a breath of air before your Sports viewing is a good idea, and will be refreshing!
I am settling in here for the long haul....
First Roger and Novak's Singles Final match -- yes, actual court play starts at 2 o 'clock. on Centre Court
Then the Women's Doubles Final ( it was postponed yesterday) follows this.
And the Mixed Doubles Final is scheduled for 2.15 pm on Court No One.
A good programme!
I hope De Marchi is not badly hurt?
A head injury sounds serious.......

Hello, Elle!
I went the long way to ASDA and bought me an ice cream!
I may see a bit of the tennis, I think.
As far as I know, de Marchi has facial lacerations but is conscious and is being x-rayed and treated in hospital.
That's what Juan Antonio Flecha is saying.
Juan Antonio is an ex pro who works for EuroSport on bike races.
When I see a rider down the way de Marchi was, thoughts of Fabio Casartelli come to mind.
Fabio was killed on the descent of the Col de Portet d'Aspet, quite a few years ago, in the days before helmets became compulsory.
Hopefully, de Marchi will be OK.

Hi, Rusty!
Thank you for the update on de Marchi....thank goodness that cyclists now wear helmets!
Whew...this tennis playing is utterly exhausting!
I hope you are managing to see some of this fantastic match?
I am taking a little break at the end of the third set.....won on a tie -break by Novak, who consequently leads by 2 sets to 1.
Both men are playing brilliantly..... but I think this may now mean that Novak will eventually win?
We shall see!
I, too, am now going to have an ice cream!
Back to the tennis......

Good evening, Rusty!
Well, what a match! What incredible tennis!
I am glad you managed to see it!
Both men had chances along the way........
It was a great pity that Roger could not capitalise on the two Championship points he had at 8-7......
But Novak triumphed in the end, and was indeed a worthy winner!
Well done, him!
And both players were so gracious in their speech, and in the way they complimented each other....it was good to hear.
A great day, wasn't it?
And still the Women's Doubles Final to come........

Good evening, Elle!
It is a beautiful evening here.
Yes, it was a great match by two excellent players.
I did not hear the speeches, though.
It has been a very good Wimbledon, but then it usually is.
I am still very impressed by the ball boys and girls.
They are simply super efficient!
Jemma Reekie has done the double at the European under 23 Championships.
She has won 800 metres and 1500 metres.
