No, I have heard of biscuit tins but I have not come across one.
Are they not very old fashioned these days, Elle?
My biscuits are sealed in airtight packets and stay fresh.
I don't know if my grandson was "offered" a clothes washing machine.
Maybe that's what they ordered?
Why would you think it was offered "free"?
I may learn a bit more on Tuesday, if he tells me.
I've put him on to a blinds fitter who I know well, if he decides to get window blinds, and put him in touch with a very good carpet fitter, which should save him quite a bit of money.
He has invited me up for a coffee once it's finished, with his Mum, my ex-daughter-in-law.
That will be fine, as we get on well.

It presents me with picture after picture.....
No, biscuit tins are not old-fashioned ...you can buy them in all appropriate shops!
The biscuits don't stay "airtight" once the packet is opened?
A packet of biscuits might last us a few weeks, so they need to go in a tin.
But I can see that I may not succeed in convincing you....!
(We have cake tins, too)
I just thought from what you said about the kitchen coming with all modern appliances that they were part of a promotion......
I could have misread the situation...it definitely isn't my evening!

I might ask the ASDA girls if they have biscuit tins for sale, but I don't need them.
My biscuits are fine.
Elle, you know as much as me about this new kitchen.
I was told it was coming with appliances but that's all I know.
I don't know if there are "offers" or "free" stuff involved.
I thought they may have gone to Howdens or a kitchen maker and ordered what they needed.
My sons and me went to Wren's and ordered what I was told I needed.
I was perfectly happy with my old kitchen, but I let the boys get on with it.
I'm glad I did get it, now, though.

We have had a "Victorian Day" held in our park.......where there were stalls selling a variety of goods..... and visitors were encouraged to dress in Victorian costume, as did the stallholders.
But no Easter Bonnet parade!
We shall not need to leave here until about 11.30...... so plenty of time for me to do my Sunday crosswords.
Where are you proposing to walk?

Hello, Elle!
Well, I am avoiding the local park today.
There are "events" going on there, run by the council, and the council tries hard, but one of their priorities is to have loud music blasting from speakers, and that chases me away!
And it's all pop music, nothing for different tastes.
No Bing or Vivaldi up in the park, and no scat!
And I would not know Adele from Minnie Mouse!
So it's not for me.
I'll just go out and stretch the legs, maybe meet someone to have a yarn with.
Then catch up on BGT!

A VERY HAPPY EASTER! The weather is (and has been for a while)
absolutely gorgeous, so that is nice for family reunions etc, and
for everyone's morale.
Perhaps the advantage of having a 'late'
Easter? I think this is the latest date I have known Easter to be?

How are you both?

I was busy for nigh on a month with a friend
(British) who came on holiday here, and then minor health problems such as a very nasty cold and very high BP which is now being treated.
So all should be well now.
