Hi, Rusty!
Thank you - that was really great!
(And what a very young Bing!)
My word, I am exhausted!
The temperature has been up in the mid twenties...... and we have been playing football!
I must be mad......
I have to say, though, that we have all had a fantastic time!
Now for a sit-down....!

Hello, Elle!
Well done on your day out with the family!
Some lad Bing!
Singing perfectly while controlling a horse and buggy!
I'm impressed.
I think the whole country has a heat wave.
I was out again for another walk, then came in to watch the cycling, and I'm glad I did.
Watched the best finish to a classic that I have seen in years.
A win for Mathieu van der Poel.
Great weather in Holland, too!

Usual insight from Sean Kelly
"Alaphilippe should have ridden faster for longer"

Hi, Rusty!
Oh, Bing is definitely "the goods"!
I am listening to him again......
And I have to say that, although I do not like wearing hats under 'normal' circumstances, I adore the chance to sport one for a wedding, for instance!
I think I should like an Easter Bonnet parade...especially if being serenaded in a horse and carriage at the time!
I am glad that the cycling went well!
I do not know Mathieu van der Poel......I do not recall your having mentioned him before?

Hello, Pigale!
It was lovely to hear from you earlier.
I am sorry that I had to rush off at the time you posted .......
We were meeting our younger daughter and family in the park for a picnic.....and a football match!
I am glad that you are feeling somewhat better now...although do take it easy!
Yes, you will miss your visitor.

Hello, Elle!
Bing is the business!
Well, I have a hat, a brown trilby, but rarely wear it.
Not sure if me and my trilby would be suitable for the Easter Parade, and I certainly can't sing like Bing!
No, van der Poel is fairly new to me, too, Elle, but I think he was placed in the Tour of Flanders, which is a very important race.
He has come from cyclo-cross, like another up and coming future star, Wout van Aert.
Good to see the young riders come in to the sport and enliven things.

Good evening, Rusty!
I am sure you will look very smart in your trilby, Rusty, and I have a collection of (wedding) hats!
We are too late for this year's Easter Parade.......
But maybe next year?
Now BB seems to think that I may have a great career in goal?
Add that to my prowess in heel kicks....
Seriously, we have had a great Easter Day!
I am unsure what time my cousin is going to phone...she is out for the day with her family.......

Update, Rusty!
Have you seen this?
I did not know all these differences between the two birds...and found this very interesting, and informative.

I hope the link works.

Good evening, Elle!
Yes, I read about the birds earlier today.
It should be helpful to folk.
Not many men wear hats these days, but now and again I put my trilby on, as long as it is not windy!
I think everyone has had a good Easter Day by all accounts.
I watched BGT earlier, but it was pretty poor.
The only acts that I took an interest in was a woman lying on her back playing a harp.
I think it was supposed to be a comedy act.
And there was a singer on at the end who I thought not too bad.
He looked familiar, then I realised he looked like a young Ronnie Drew.
Ronnie was in the Dubliners.
But, he had a hard luck story to tell, and I am getting a bit fed up of hard luck stories on BGT.

Hi, Rusty!
I have been talking to my cousin for the past hour........she finally rang at 8.45.
All are well up there.....and they, too, have been experiencing lovely weather.
BGT sounds to have been very disappointing of late......
I have set the recorder to watch the second showing tomorrow......but I think I might not bother, as you say it is not very worthwhile.
As you know, I am not very enamoured of the early versions of the show, anyway, preferring to watch later on when only the "better" acts remain.
I agree with you about the hard luck stories.....
really do think this "bid for sympathy" should not be allowed.
I am sorry if life is rough ....but the judging should be done on ability, not pity.
Oh dear, does that sound too harsh?

Hello, Elle!
Great weather all over!
No, best you record BGT, it's only my opinion that most of the acts are poor.
You may like them!
I'd be interested to see what you make of the dame with the harp!
But the final singer, Brian, was not too bad, I thought.
The hard luck stories are all too frequent on BGT.
I don't think your view is harsh at all.
I could do without the hard luck stories.
Even last year's winner, "Lost Voice Guy", was a hard luck story.
Amira did not need one, she was just a wonderful singer!
