Thank's folk's Ive just red all your post's on the subject of apostrophe's, having returned to bed after a lousy night and an early rise to clean up after a fundamentally incontinent dog. Sed post's have not cured my hedake but they gave me a serie's' of smile ' s. Their you awl are, a serie's of howlers to korrekt and it's orfly hard to overcome the prediktiv spelling on this fone. Now I'm going back to cudgel my brain on Everyman. I will go with thee and be thy guide...

Glad you liked it, jazzgirl - I think it should settle the argument but probably ego will not allow that to happen. Loved your Grandma post!

Time for a bit of light relief I reckon. Did someone mention a dodgy leg, or none? Go to Youtube and click on Pete and Dud, "One leg too few".

I think this debate may have come to a close (unless syzygy wades in with more abuse). It's obvious to any fair-minded person that there are two acceptable forms of this possessive form (see my post 37 for instance).

Thanks to elle and rossim for your brave support and to rosalind and jazzgirl for their open-minded interest.
