Extraordinarily weak, especially given that (a) there is inconsistency (at least with my ODQ), (b) my ODE does not have 17 (and there are no edition specs for ODQ or ODE in the preamble), and (c) the end result does not contain real words, which at a minimum would confirm the precise method of entry (and the intended translation). A decent idea, half-baked. And I have never before posted an outright criticism of a Listener - it must be the liberating nature of this forum!

And why does AIM straddle CONFIDENCE in the entry modifications, taken in clue order (if I'm right in my omitted letters, which I think I am)?

I agree with the thrust of your comments. It's a shame as I enjoyed it overall.

I don't have ODQ1 or ODQ6 but the version required is only in ODQ2 and not in any later version. Seems a bit unfair, especially to non-multiple-ODQ-owning-freaks.

I agree. Was not happy with starting in 17 and a good sleep followed by a check up on line found me an extra word in the quotation which is not in my now smouldering ODQ! Much crisper - but not totally satisfying overall. Now where is my tipped?

I can see a jumble of the quotation around three sides of the grid but don't know what to do next.

I think you just jumble the letters and write the quotation around the edge like a doorway

Rickye - that's what I thought but why is the ordering of the words so important?

There is doubt as to where ALL might be placed. I placed it second as all hope had been omitted from the grid but I have heard it placed fourth. Not very crisp.

I was going to put ALL third.
With all the uncertainty, surely any sensible order should be accepted?
