Hey guys, does anyone have any idea how to parse 15d? There are only four parsings I'm struggling with, and this one might shed some light on the message!

It's VASTY =(df) at one time huge. VAS = vessel. TYTH = tenth docked. So 'TH' is removed.

Aha, thanks. I had suspected as much but TYTH doesn't seem to be in Chambers...

VASTY makes 14ac a five word entry ending in a V. I can't find any such. I've really struggled with the top right corner - all other corners completed, but this one is a tussle. 8ac please, as well as 14ac?

8ac is S[IT]IRKAR[ZY} with IT being the "deduction". I have the same problem with 14ac. I presume the Z is one of the clashes.

I have VARIX, VA(In)+R+(F)IX for 14ac, so a clash at the last letter. I'm struggling in the opposite corner, so hints for 48,50ac would be very helpful! Thanks
