I am struggling with this one and finding the clues hard to understand. Has anyone spotted any anagrams? I can't find a single one! Does anyone have these answers -
43Dn Dash shaking over motorway almost run over (4)
47Ac I put in order in court to use symbolism (10) Is the answer ALLEGORISE but don't see why.
Thanks!

Very tentative suggestion. Might 43 be ELAN? Something to do with LANEs on motorways? Can't quite make it work, though.

This is a tough one. However:

EGO = I
put in a court order:
ALL RISE (for the judge).

I have a full grid apart from the answers to 1 Across and 5 Across (which I think contain TWO of the five clashes). Any hints, help would be most welcome ! I have the eleven pairs of letters but no idea what to do with them as yet...

unclued: I've got the grid, and PDM, etc., but still torn on 43d between TRIM (dash) and BRIM (almost run over), but can't get the wordplay either way!

Thanks unclued In actual fact the word dawned on me not 5 minutes ago .....along with what is really a delightful theme and denouement ! ! ! So stick with it, whoever is still struggling a little, for it will be worth the perseverance ! Having said all that, I still need 1 Across ...its last letter to be precise. In my initial grid (before carrying out the instruction) I am not sure if the answer is LEASES or LEASED ....Can anyone put me out of my misery, please ? !

Lavengro - it's LEASES - AS inside LEAS.
Can you help with 6dn and 43dn?
Thanks.
