Hi Imagcq,

I am giving these some thought ------ I have just returned battered and bruised from the supermarket ----- where things were getting nasty, people fighting over mince pies etc and hideous car park rage. But the deed is done and i intend to relax for a while --- i might even start clue chain but do not know if any one is around.

Thanks imagcq
I look at these this afternoon to take my mind off the appalling weather.
I saw #3 at first reading.
Are you around to clue-chain this afternoon?

Hi imagcq,
A most welcome diversion from Christmas themed crosswords, thank you. I see #s 1 & 4 but will have to work on the other 2.
I'm unlikely to be around later so if I don't get the chance I hope you make plenty of use of that "hammer" on Wednesday after the obligatories are out of the way! Happy Birthday in advance.

Well I have an answer for #2. Trouble is I can only partly parse it, and I can't get an anagram from the letters I have!

I'm not completely certain about my answer to # 2,
either: it kind of 3/4 works, if I take the clue (maybe too) exactly!
