Yes GK - I have two letters unaccounted for in my parse.

....and I still can't get the anagram, anyway!

Everything appears to be in order, i am however puzzling as to how you have two letters that you cant parse?

Probably because my answer is wrong!

I'm not looking for an anagram: I've got a kind of shelter inside a certain river making a word for relaxation --- could that be right?

It's the final 8-letter anagram that I can't do - however your answer sounds different from mine.

Just looking in- only see 1,3, and 4...

Just come back from food shopping having stocked up for the next month, or so it seems!
I guessed the answer to #2 and then googled to check that it works. No luck with any of the others yet but have to cook now.

OK, here's my attempt, but now it's the last part of 4 I can't quite parse!
1. TRUNCHEON (club):anag. "turn" + he in "con"

2. DETENTE: tent in Dee (but not too happy about "cut off")

3. ARISTOTLE: "tot" & "l" in "arise"

4. TINTORETTO: TIN (can) + TORE (rent) + TTO (TT teetotal = rejecting the excessive, but can't account for the "o", unless "wholly" is intended as homophone for like a hole = O !)
