Good morning friends. I've had an exceptionally busy week (retired???) and was thinking of omitting "5" this week. But, at the last minute, I put together the following, Keeping my fingers crossed that they'll be acceptable. Happy solving. J

I set clues just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few? Since they're new, no letters!

Please withhold solutions till 5 pm (GMT) to allow others to have a go.

1. Charge in to dry up tar (8)

2. Foil, say, transforming window-pane while keeping out air in motion? (6)

3. In order to trap a warthog, I bide my time, hiding in the same place (6)

4. Publicly caress money connected to crack (8)

5. Brave child, going inside a model representing the scene of Christ's nativity (5)

Good day also to Ari, Chrise (not relevant?), Rossim and Jazzy. I'm sure you must find it very frustrating Ari. Can't imagine how this is happening. Spook(y)!
