Winnie thank you so much for your very kind words. It has indeed been a terrible time. Thanks also for all the wonderful clues, have solved three of them already and will work on the others. These quizzes are so infuriating sometimes but surprisingly can help others if they have also got things on their mind.

Bridie I think I can help with 9...the middle 3 letters are another name for a fool, one might say silly ... put them into another word for a not quite honest tale. 100 I have got, not as good as others at giving clues so just look up Japanese fighting dogs or even just Japanese dogs. Hope this helps as others are helping me
