Of course I got a few more from the earlier hints, but have been defeated by 15d even from the hints above. I couldn't guess 15d from the hints and had never heard of the place. I looked up the answer in the end. I'd never heard of noodle soup. I didn't know the theologian either.
There were a number I can't fully parse including 12ac,18ac, 25ac, 4d, 16d and 19d. But spending time doing the crossword was good for my bad back as it made sure I sat down and rested it.

FOI 9ac, LOI 15d and CODs 11ac and 5d. I also liked 7d

New here and found the crossword a highly solvable delight. But I’m thoroughly stuck on 19 down and would love some help. I’m pretty sure I have the three crossers.

19 was my LOI.

Finally managed to finish , didn’t find this easy . I usually enjoy Pangakupu but this was a struggle.
FOI 6d LOI 23 d had worked out answer early on but couldn’t find reference to theologian.
COD not many favourites but I liked 11a
I have no problem with26a, I’m sure I have correct solution for25a and no one else has queried it so I must be missing the obvious but can’t parse it.

My queries are 3 and 6. With the word play for 3, I see study (three letters) and objection (three letters also), but can’t see the rest. With 6 I’ve gone with something an actor might audition for reversed, but not sure the result is something on a stage. Are we talking a type of door?

For 3d five letter word for attempts minus last letter . Yes type of door anagram of what actor might audition for.

Re 6d, have you seen Charade? A scene near the end would help.
