I’m stuck in the bottom left corner. 19d, 23a and 26a. Could anyone give me a steer especially on “The Observer’s heart?” 23a? I think it’s - - g - n.

Hi Markeo,
Your letters are correct. It’s a double definition where both definitions are by example.

Chambers has ‘up’ as meaning ‘in an excited state’, so I think it qualifies as an anagram indicator. I’ve certainly seen it before as such.

Thanks for confirming the anagram stuff, Jono - I was almost certain I'd seen it used before.

18A Is this suppoed to be an anagram? I have all the letters for the obvious answer, but can't fit it to the clue? Could someone help?

Hi Albatross, yes it’s an anagram of three words from the clue (ignore ‘with’)
