Finished (but we had a busy weekend at a family wedding in Torquay: got the Guardian delivered to our room on Saturday but no time to look at crossword till the long train journey home yesterday).

Nice tgeme, which I didn't notice till coming to this forum with 8 clues to go. Did anyone mention 20 as themed?

LoI 7d: was sure 2 Os had to be removed in the wordplay!
CoD perhaps the themed 5d, where I was also thinking of silly-looking dogs and wondering how to include the "posh" leter to get a food.
