That was a weird one. Some very iffy clues. Still not convinced by my last two in, 12a and 10d. I just filled them in to be done with it.

Stuck on those two - shall revisit in the morning.

Otherwise enjoyable with lots of smiles.

12a. Initial letters. Quite a famous Timothy of his day

Managed to get 12a but had not noticed the primarily aspect.

Am struggling to parse or understand 6d, 9d and 15d but I think I have them.

Explanations welcome.

I thought 1a was awful.

6d is a ‘sounds like’ (overheard) of an expression which would more usually mean talk incessantly. However, the ‘divulge secrets’ meaning is in Chambers.

9d outside letters then a self reference.

15d Another homophone.
