Hmm.

Started today, finished gridfill in a few hours, so probably too easy.

But...I have three names and a destination, all perfectly symmetrical. I need one more person 'allegedly involved' and there is a likely name, in a straight line, but it breaks the symmetry and is interrupted by two other letters. Can't be that, surely?

I'll have another look tomorrow.

Pebble, if you have highlighted 3 names and a destination, you have done what is required by the preamble.

This is true!

Maybe I should learn to count.

Well, I would say this was at the easier end of Listeners, but as an American perhaps a bit more difficult than for the rest of you. I was aware of the subjects revealed in the endgame though. I have everything completed; however, a few parses elude me, namely 6d and 14a. For the latter, I know that there was a TV show, and even a US show based on it, but I don't know enough to see how it fits into the clue. For 6d, I believe the first three letters are the foundation, but I don't see how the last three come from the rest. Gentle hints appreciated.

Darla, in 6d, 'foxy' describes a colour (6)
I think ... In 14a. if you put an H before the answer, it becomes the past tense of a 2 word phrase for 'to get punishment'

Thank you so much, mattrom. I suspected that for 6d, so I appreciate the confirmation. Other than the existence of the show, I knew nothing about Steptoe. I guess he was a junk man, because in the American copy that was the case.

Oldwolfie, re 37a. If you put a 1-letter abbreviation in front of your answer, you will have a "conductor where current enters"
