21d seems to parse as
Ten (number) are the ODD letters in ‘T(h)E (e)N(d)’.

Many thanks OTH. I was also bemused by 21d, but your explanation makes sense. (I'd been reduced to thinking that Everyman was referring to the bracketed number at the end of the clue!)

This was the quickest I've ever solved an Everyman; it had some enjoyable bits. My favourite was the Cockney switch in 12a.
I'm not sure about 19d. What is the map-maker reference?
Good Sunday.

Hardly a write-in for me, but less tortuous than last week. 2d as meaning not online new to me, but a useful expression, and it helped with the rhyming pair. Enjoyable.

Enjoyed this week's a lot. I have two questions. I can't parse 5a. And I can see that 21d involves an anagram but I don't see how it's a double meaning. All hints gratefully appreciated!
