Much obliged, Jono. A good Mother's Day gift.

Thanks jono.

I despair with the Observer app on my phone. I got going, changed view or something and now cannot get back in to the puzzle.

It really is terrible. I'll go back to snoozing, have breakfast and then tackle the pdf.

Submitted last week's in hard copy.

Saving grace I suppose is it should stop me doing this in the small hours.

But I wish you all good puzzling.

Following up.

Good day.

Almost a write in. A rhyming pair some untroubling four letter clues, a number of straightforward anagrams.

No particular GK clues.

An enjoyable start to this Sunday...on paper!

And dare I say, come on the gunners.

Thanks again, Jono. Do you never sleep?!
Struggled in the NW but got there in the end. Enjoyed the corny humour of 12 & 22, and can’t fully parse 5A.
Thanks, Everyman, and happy Sunday, all

Ah - just got it. Lovely misdirection (setter, perhaps)!

The Everyman crossword used to attract a lot of traffic to this site when the Observer was part of the Guardian. What a shame!

Thanks Jono!

The only one I couldn't parse this week is 21d (In a weird way, how number's found in the end? (5)).

I also thought that 8a (Startled kittens bolt in pysch procedure) should have been (7, 4) not (3-4, 4)?

Another one held up by the parsing of 21d - obviously we have something that makes sense with numbers and in a weird way... but can't quite put the bits together. Otherwise felt quite straightforward this week! Although perhaps worth if for the &lit I feel the definition in 21A is a little stretchy
