Always a good idea to give the clue - I'm blocked out again today.

Hi Tigerente, welcome.
18 is a two letter word for look (crops up in crosswords a lot) followed by an anagram (staggering) of a single letter abbreviation for lake + Erie from the clue.

Thanks Jono! The two-letter word for look is a new one for me but the clue makes sense now!

My lack of general knowledge held me up for 23a and 18d, but finished eventually ( I hope!) Not sure about parsing of 14d -could someone explain?

Dreadful clue - as a biker I don’t consider the T-word to be a scooter.
