I now have one possible answer for 1A and 38A, but I can see no link between any of my unclued answers other than that three of them contain the same 3-letter string.

I'm also struggling with connecting the apparently random unclued words - any clues for the unclued theme this week gratefully received!

I've been focusing on the words which follow the title in a quote from Shakespeare. Although I've not yet got all the thematic entries I can relate the ones I have to those words.

Hi Alwayspuzzled
I initially went down the rabbit hole of Juliet's soliloquy, especially following the solution to 18A. However, dead end there. It is still not obvious to me how the theme connects to the title, but my wife has suggested the following. What feature to the initial letters of names have in common?

Helveticus
30A was one of the unclued solutions which I had to revise after stumbling onto the theme. There is another word, very obscure, which fits the crossers.

Thanks for that BuzzyBee. It will give me something to work on later.

It took a while to get the connection between the unclued.Once I noticed certain words inside some of the unclued, it was easy to finish the rest but some of the unclued are uncommon words.

I'm going round in circles on this - the first ever Speccy not finished by teatime on Thursday. It would seem that the unclued lights are not words (inference from title and the lack of words to fit what I've already got (an otherwise filled grid)) although some of them could be. An earlier post suggested that the NATO alphabet might be useful, but I can't see how, although two of them could fit in the New England corner. But I can't see a connection between them, or with anything else. I don't like being faced with an unfinished Speccy by the time the real fun starts at 4 today, so a nudge would be welcome.
