After Enigmatist on Thursday and Ludwig yesterday, I was hoping for an easy ride today. It didn’t quite turn out like that, but I enjoyed the challenge from Fed. Lots of clever surfaces and misdirections

I found this extremely gentle, not far from a write-in as far as filling the grid was concerned, but the parsing of several clues then required significant time. So Prize worthy.

FOI 9, LOI 3 (frustrating to stall out on such a short clue, but I lacked some GK here).

COD 21. Short list adds 13a, 7 and 14. Long list adds 10, 11, 12, 18, 5 and 6.

4d LOI, added to my long list.

Interesting, geeker. I wondered whether you might have a GK problem, but suspected it would be with 24 rather than 3!

Roger, I indeed have no inkling of the 24 GK. But the wordplay was so obvious that I didn't bother to Google her.

If I knew anything about 3d, I'd consider looking into a (SPOILER ALERT) group theme.

11a is clever and parses ok, with a clumsy surface reading.

It’s a little clumsy, I agree, ilippu, but having been there, I kind of like it.

The Spoonerism is not bad. I wrote in the answer, but (I struggle with this clue type) the PDM was satisfying.
