Wow. I wish I could ascertain an answer Shane and Roger ...

Very witty, near namesake. I can’t believe that either of them ploughed on to the bitter end. I am assuming that none of the items to be shaded overlaps with any of the others, in which case I could precisely allocate one letter of the alphabet to each shaded cell. Is that the correct total?

Still not sure how many of these things there are. If they overlap there are so many, and if - as I think right - they don’t there are a smaller number. Which is it?
