The clues...

Requests for help should normally include the clue itself, the number of letters in the answer, and details of any you already have. Any additional information or special instructions, common in Listener puzzles, should also be included.
Hints only, please, no answers.

The theme...
Help with the theme may also sought here. Any assistance given should be on the gentler side - just a nudge, a pointer in the right direction. Aim to be helpful without spoiling the puzzle for other solvers.

If you feel that too much information has been given or that the theme is in danger of being revealed, please let the site administrator know - Norah.evoluted@aol.com. Norah errs on the side of caution - anything at all iffy is likely to be removed.
The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

An excellent puzzle. Really tough, occasionally impossible for quite some time, but fair in its own quirky way.

Fortunately, the endgame was more tractable than I first feared.

Very enjoyable PDMs and a great way to spend a damp Sydney morning!

Thanks, Cranberry.

Struggling to get started on this one not looking for specific clues yet but is there a way in? Just got single letters all over the place!

I have all this apart from the top left corner, specifically 5 and 10. What are the definitions? (It’s early to say, but the irritation of jumbled entries may be worth it in the end.)

When I read the preamble last evening I decided to hang fire before printing the thing out, opting to gauge the reaction here before doing so. Seems that I opted with justifiable caution. Not a fan of puzzles requiring more than an afternoon's effort.

RHSL - I echo your post; a very impressive construction, and a good intellectual work-out. I have it all done except for the 'fragments' in the end game. Hoping for a PDM!

In terms of a way in, Mandyrob0704, I found that the 27 and 34 reels tied in neatly with 26 down -- but after that I pretty well stalled! The level of cold solving required in this puzzzle is pretty daunting.

That was a good one. Some fiendish clues, but all perfectly fair. Superb, particularly for a debut (?).

A Listener debut, so it would seem, though there have been several Inquisitor and EV puzzles from Cranberry over the past 3 or 4 years, most recently an Inquisitor a fortnight ago.
I'm still struggling somewhat with this one but I'm making (slow) progress and hope to get there in the end.
