`Pinko` used to be a common, polite term, for someone on the left in politics - not used much nowadays.

I’m lucky enough to have a copy of chambers 13 but unlucky enough to be too thick to get 25a. Can anyone help? The clue is Partridge guided round pasture and is 7 long. I have L-AL-N- I am thinking Alan for partridge and Lea for pasture but can’t see a word that fits. Any help gratefully received. Thank you

Pasture is definition though answer is not in Chambers.

What you have is correct except a word for guided goes round Partridge and pasture is the definition. I could only confirm it in the OED.

Thank you Jono and hounds. I did not know this word but it seems obvious now.

Could someone give me more of a nudge for the unclued 12a? I'm afraid Jono's post at 7 did not do the trick.
