Finally got the letter but had to print it out twice again as I scribbled over the whole thing trying to follow the trail.

yes, I expect most of us had to print out clean copies to trace it out. As for symmetrical, it's exact in its limits and widths, and that letter always traditionally has an arm higher than centre.

I'm assuming from the extra instruction that the turtle enters the grid from the bottom row, but on which cell? Is it trial and error or am I missing something?

No, you’re not missing anything.

I've now completed this but am just am 99.9% sure I have the correct letter.

My slight doubt comes from the fact that some posts seem to be saying the turtle has drawn a symmetrical letter and others that it hasn't.

I'm keen to avoid spoilers so I'll word this next bit carefully.

If I have the letter as I've drawn it in front of me in its usual orientation, and draw a horizontal line midway between the very top and very bottom, then the top and bottom halves are definitely not symmetrical.

Also, while the bottom most line does intersect the first line heading in the direction given by the initial letters of the extra words, there doesn't seem to be any indication of a "full stop".

Basically, what I'm saying is, I had thought the final line would intersect the first R or L thus creating an eternal loop but, at least in my interpreation, that doesn't appear to be the case.

None of the above is meant to be a critcism of Qaos, the puzzle was very enjoyable. Rather, it's just me checking I've got the correct letter.

Hi Bren, we’re told that the turtle finally “exits the grid” so it does not go round in circles. As others have said the letter is not symmetrical, but it is precise which was perhaps was the intention of the original comment.

Anyway, sounds like you have it right. Have you coloured it in? Having done this and the Listener I was thinking I need to get some colouring pencils / highlighters!

Thanks very much Jono, I'd completely missed the "exits the grid" part, which is basically par for the course in my case.

I enter the competition by filling in the boxes online and use the grid you kindly provide to complete it so there's really nothing for me colour in.

As regards the Listener, I'd put that aside given that it's Genius week but have noted that 29 cells need to be highlighted.

In short, my appetite has been whetted 😉

Very late to play on this one. Fairly easy puzzle, but then my little brain fixated on the Great A'tuin or the Mutant Ninjas as the only famous turtles I knew. So thanks Jono for the insight. Not the first time you have saved my blushes

Oh, and thanks Qaos. That's exactly the kind of mischief we like.

Grid filled but need to clarify path of turtle - does it only travel on letter squares and not on black ones?
