7d is a double definition

Barryc. I’m still stuck on 10a. Do you mean that down is 5 and spirit is 6? Cos that adds up to 11 not 10.

Markeo , down is 4. Spirit is 6. My advice is not to overthink it!

Your second h in 3a is wrong. It is not an anagram I don’t think. Is a title of a musical and something used on game boards.
The scoff in 7d is scoff in the sense of consume not deride.
