I have yet to move on to the end game because I cannot find what to enter at 50 across - a helpful nudge would be appreciated.

It’s an exclamation which appears halfway through the source, gitto, though the first word seems to vary from place to place. I used the name of a telecoms provider, though I’d have preferred to add an “h”

Thanks both, found it now. Now working on the instruction, which hopefully begins 6,2,2,4............

Gitto, yes. There is one clue where the extra word yields the same letter from two positions. You use the earlier position to get the equal numbers of each.

Ozzy, I have now completed the crossword including the instruction but I cannot make sense of the five letters from the last four across and first down clues. I currently have ten words in the instruction. I could create 4,1 from those five letters, but it doesn't seem right.........unless it has a full stop after the 4.

The instruction is 11 words, gitto, and the fifth word has six letters (last four across and first two downs)
