Have got stuck in SW corner, so appealing for help once again. 30d: Latin exam after noon’s a certainty for Sheila (6) there is a redundant word. I have ?MO??? But feel that is wrong

fgsltw,

Are you unsure what to do with extra words or the message itself? If the former, you need to pick one of the three (or in some cases, two) letters from each extra word to make a coherent instruction.

Thanks muraria, I understood the preamble, but struggled to pick the correct letters to form the instruction. Got there now but still stuck on final step. Am I looking for a 6 letter word or 7 letter word. I have .a.a..(o)

No problem, fgsltw, final step is to move one word into another, leaving six blank cells in final grid. Hope that helps.I have .a..a.....a..

Thanks again but not quite there yet. I guess we move parts of the name, some one way, some another, but in doing so I leave 33d without its initial letter and not a real word. Where have I gone wrong?
