I was able to find online examples of TRISSE meaning "sadness", so I think the clue is correct.

Barnaby - as the one who first suggested the 'typo', you’ve convinced me to change my tune. There has never been a typo in the Viz crossword.

I had ‘on hand’ instead of ‘in hand’ for 23D, which was causing confusion.

Never heard of gasohol before. Must be one of them new fangled fuels (or fools as we in the east pronounce it).
