Hi Raffles,

I haven't read Viz for years but did buy the first few - my favourites were Big Vern and Paul Whicker the tall vicar, are they still in it?

A very happy new year to you.

Big Vern is there to the good but the vicar shuffled off one last coil. In similar vein to BV is a newish character, spoonerised as Wockney Canker (Mike Reed lookalike). I fink it woz BV wot went back to Victorian times an called Jack the Ripper a ‘diamond geezer'.

My all-time favourite is Student Grant, as it summed up the lads attitude to some Students, viz: welfare spongers who look down on people on the dole (just like I consider free legal aid to be just middle class dole for solicitors).

Some favourites: The Sat Flags, Sid the Sexist, Eight Ace (I actually wrote a strip based on the, then, upcoming Alfa 149 [8 Ace lives to amass £1.49 which he promptly puts to good use buying 8 tins of Ace lager] showing Ace being kicked out of an Alfa dealers for trying to buy the new car for £1.49, then he has a flashback to something similar in the 70s, outside a Fiat dealers with thruppence in his hand. But the fornicating illegitimates at Alfa called the car 'Giulietta' at the last minute.

Gawdelpus, thanks. I realised afterwards that as this is Viz,maybe the answer could be Flesh Card!

That took way longer than normal - I must be ring-rusty!

Not sure if it's a thing in the UK, but for a moment I thought you might have been discussing the infamous Fleshlight. There's a suggestion for Viz!
