Darla, Brendan, you're right. I thought of that pack but got sidetracked with an English abbr. Hallucinated that only the first letter was the Roman, and that the last 4 words of the clue provided an American football DD.

PS. I know next to nothing about cricket, but just visited the BBC site out of curiosity. The England opening batsman is going to get destroyed in the tabloids (and in social media).

Same here Darla, I has to consult a list on Google to get the 24,9 part of 15,16, which I'd never heard of, although do know the definition part.... but haven't seen it.

If I've interpreted the "muscly pack" correctly, it's the only stadium I've visited. They weren't playing at the time, though.....

13a 4 letter ?????? goes around 2 letter "gold" and 3 letter "medal"

Put the Roman numeral before the word "pack" and you get "muscly"

13a is two letters gold, 3 letter acronym for medial, all inside four letter word for ‘and’.
Muscly pack is two letters as expressed by a Roman for this type of pack.
