Nearly done, but stumped by 19a and 29a.
Missing two thematics still.
My message is not making any sense despite having 90% and checkIng carefully, am I misunderstanding “collectively in clue order”?

Lumen. The answer to 19 A is four letters... (the ellipsis indicates a missing word!). There's the usual 'note' in a common record/diary etc.

I got 29 A only from crossing letters, and the Scottish link.

19a clue is thematic, and gives you a 3 letter word for record around a single letter for a note - 4 in total

Thanks both, I have 19 now, and also after checking for errors in my message, have resolved it fully.
26d is outstanding, it must be thematic, and will give me an extra crosser for my 29a.

Thanks, Lumen, glad we could help. The answer to 26 D is another 4-letter word. There's the usual League and then a common (in puzzles) former president.

The PDM was quite a while coming, but I've got there in the end. However, completely baffled by the clue to 36a even though I have both the answer and the extra word in the clue. The i and the listener have been a real treat this weekend (+ a couple of hours this morning!).
