Everything seemingly complete other than I have only changed two letters - a gentle hint would be much appreciated as I cannot see how to change three.

The preamble doesn’t say you change three cells, it says apply the title to three cells

You change three cells, which disambiguates which path to choose. The song title is relevant, indeed utilised.

I was aware of the theme but had no real knowledge of it. However, the relevant Wikipedia entry gave me a crash course. Thanks to Horntail for the puzzle - and for advancing my education.

Completely baffled (again)! I have changed two letters (X to Y and vice-versa) creating a suitable replacement for B which ends up at the cell relating to the climatic climatic moment, which is also visually representative. My song title is three words.

That’s what I’ve done gitto.

In my view the song title is asking you to do word 1 to word 2 and 3 which is what you’ve done

Thanks CD, because the letters 4-7 in the 9 letter diagonally connected cells BEFORE change spelt a helpful clue I could not see how what I had done could be incorrect - lets hope so. It is a rather cryptic indication of applying the song title though, but definitely fair.

A few clues that took some working out, and I'd have been flummoxed without Wikipedia; but in the end a very satisfying puzzle.

This is one of those puzzles where I'm just not interested in the theme. But I think I've found the appropriate positioning of C - I wonder how much angular error will be allowed.

Using the centres of the relevant cells gives the required thematic position of the longer C *exactly* (well, to within 0.2%).

A satisfying bonus element.
