Grid all filled, likely quote figured out ... brick wall encountered. I can arrange the 19 letters of three thematic words into a long string, but "a block"? No. Anyone got a shape for it?

Try as I may, ginge, my PC won't allow me to put in earlier dates in the boxes at the bottom: it just repeats the current page. Rather than waste your time let me ask whether the rectangle is one more than the number in my earlier email.

Hi again cockie, from your total of 19 I'm surmising you have the correct quote and you're looking for examples of the 3 constituent parts rather than the parts themselves. The rectangle is more than twice the area you suggest. Hope this helps without giving too much away this early.

Kirky, who is most often associated with quotes re the period in question from your "casing"?

Many thanks to Arcadia for an excellent puzzle and representation of the quotation, The “core” of the endgame gave me a chuckle.

I'm afraid the endgame is completely eluding me. I can see the title of a novel with an extra letter in it in the centre of the grid but I doubt that has anything to do with it. A nudge/violent shunt in the right direction would be much appreciated.,
