Thank you, geting. I have never heard of such expressions as ‘veg out’ or ‘wheels’. There seems to have been a shift in clueing in recent months. I am not sure who is the target audience anymore. Certainly not me. Whatever happened to clever word play and puns, and literary and classical references? It seems to be all anagrams, convoluted deletions, and obscure slang, such as ‘illywhacker’. How many educated Englishmen are familiar with that term, I wonder?
