Thanks, Bren (and congratulations). I had the wordplay of 36 backwards and an answer that is a heraldic term for “parted”. Weirdly, it works just as well as the correct reading and delivers the same extra letter.

Possibly a mistake on your across clue I have a word meaning united in the biblical sense lol
