Appeciate nobody will be monitoring this now ... but just in case ... disposing of old copies - noticed that I had a question mark againt 31A - 'nappies cleared of content after Oscar copes' ... wordplay straightforward (confirmed by down entries) ... amended letter obvious from phrase ... BUT, as nobody queried it, can I assume there is an obvious link between the definition 'comes' and entry 'ons'? ...

Crates, the blog for this puzzle appeared - on fifteensquared - yesterday. The Comes = Ons didn't work for several (most?) people.

Many thanks Malone - One of those where I learnt a new bit of history - so enjoyed - completed quite quickly but at the time this obviously bugged me! ... so, very late on, visited site and as it wasn't mentioned presumed everybody saw something I didn't! I even guessed the misprint before it was confirmed ... Did not detract from the finished article - so still thumbs up to Vismut! ...

Thanks, Crates. The bloggers weren't convinced about Ons, they mentioned it in their parsing of all the clues, and two others (Sagittarius and Arnold) agreed. And yes, it was an excellent puzzle overall.
