Yes, I had some grid staring for a while but it wraps around in SW corner

6d - first 3 letters/'short' of 4 letter "socks" goes around/'sers' 3 letter "badly" with extra word "Alcott" - definition is "his" but it's a plural of an old word/'previousy' for 'hello'

38a - 6 letter "measures" as a noun (part of a gallon) but with 2 letter "Ukraine" replaced by 2 letter "special order" abbreviation - definition is a type of personalirty test.

Your letters are correct but this is another one where only the singular is in Chambers, so try chopping off the final S when looking it up:-)

muraria - I've got nothing of interest happening in the SW corner. Not sure what you're referring to.
