Ruby, crossers for 18d are correct. Split is same as clue 4/3 both slang terms. Answer is not great imo as it is not an example of something that might help but it is a bit like one.

Made a mistake on 2d and needed a hint for 22a as I'd not heard of it. Once that was in the final bits of the SE corner fell into place.

Far fewer issues with parsing than last week but it did find it a bit trickier to finish

The first word is a synonym for to succeed in doing something. Change the capital R to lower case for the second word.
